: : What does the phrase beneath contempt, or beneath my contempt mean?

: It means that someone or something is so bad that it/they are undeserving even of my contempt. Totally worthless in other words.

: DFG

It's one of those cases where our desire to exaggerate leads us into paradox. It's so contemptible that it doesn't even rise to the level of contemptibility. Contemptible is too flattering a designation for anything so contemptible. SS
