End of pea time

Hello! I'm doing a work for my masters final dissertation about idioms. Does anyone know anything about "the end of pea time". I checked the archives but couldn't find no answer. On a web site somebody from Ireland has written "...we were exhausted, looking like the end of pea time"..is it something bad? because I remember someone said her/his grandma used to use it to refer to wonderful things.
