Tickers and dekkos

Re TV graphics "...to help all you homeys and honeys add a new flava to your tickers and dekkos"

Would appreciate some input here. By "homeys and honeys," is more meant than "guys and gals"?

"flava" obviously means "flavor," but is a ticker the same as a crawler? As far as I can tell, "dekko" is a quick look. Could that mean a brief excposure in a commerical slot?
