Well, I'm pretty certain it's from William Shakepeare's play Julius Caesar. At any rate I'm including a direct quote from the play, Act I, Scene ii: The character Casca tells his companions Cassius and Brutus he couldn't understand anything Marc Antony said in a speech to the Roman populace because he didn't speak in Latin, "But those that understood him smiled at one another and shook their heads; but for mine own part, it was Greek to me."
