: : What does 'jobby bum' in Scottish english mean?

: I couldn't find "jobby bum." My "Collins Gem Scots Dictionary" says "to bum is to boast or brag. A boaster or conceited person can be spoken of contemptuously as a bum. These senses come from the earlier Scots sense, to make a humming or buzzing sound."

don't know why you want to know this, but here goes:

jobby is the scots word for faeces/s h i t etc...
bum means backside/arse/bottom etc...

you work it out !!!!!
