: I have a couple of ideas about what the phrase "too rich for my blood" might mean. Can anyone help me out?
: One idea is that something, some involvement, is more expensive or more risky than the person can afford. The other is that it would feel themselves be putting on airs if one were to do or become involved with it.
: What *does* it mean, exactly? - Patty
The former over the latter. You hear it often in poker games when the betting gets too high to (prudently) stay in the game.
