Job's comforter

What is the origin of the term Joab's comforter?

It's a reference to the book of Job (pronounced Jobe) in the Bible. Three of Job's friends try to make him feel better but only make things worse.
"Then Job answered and said, I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all." Job 16:1-2 KJV
