: The complete sentence usually goes something like: I don't care two whoops in Hades what you think. or I wouldn't give three whoops in Hades for that piece of junk. A whoop is a kind a shout or yell. The idea is that there's a whole lot of yelling and screaming going on in Hell so a few more is practically nothing.
In fact, one is practically nothing, pretty worthless, which puts this expression into the same class as "I don't give a fig" (q.v.).
