: where does the phrase 'two blacks dont make a white' come from ? -and does it have a racial origin?
It is not a phrase I have heard, but I assume it is a variant on 'two wrongs don't make a right' which is in common usage. It simply means that two negatives don't make a positive.
Although I doubt that your phrase has a racial origin, I wouldn't use it in case that interpretation were put upon it.
