: What does it mean to "blow a zero"?

: ref: discuss.joelonsoftware.com

In the context of the reference you provided:

I got the breathilizer (first time ever).

Cop: "Have you had any drinks?"
Me: "Nope"
Cop: "So you're going to blow a zero?"
Me: "Yup, it's going to be great!"

A breathilizer is a device one breathes into, blows air into, and it registers the percentage of alcohol in your booodstream to determine if you are legally permitted to drive a car. (Our local standard is 0.8%. Below that, legal, Above that, big time trouble.) The driver in this case was tired, not drunk, when pulled over, and he's confident he will register 0%.
