Casper Murgatroid

I was watching an old silent film this morning. It was just a comedic short clip, but an exclamation that one of the actor's used (written, of course) was, "Casper Murgatroid!" It took me a minute to put that together with the one that the cartoon character Snagglepuss used, "Heavens to Murgatroid!" Do you think there is any connection between the two?

I am thinking, yes.
