: Hi all. My question is this: I would like to know what is the meaning of "Break a Buck", as in "Can you break a buck, or make change for a dollar, (or any denomination for that matter. Pleas help
: Many thanks!
The phrase exists in the UK and Ireland. In the UK 'can you break a tenner' means can you give me change for a £10 note (for example a £5 and 5 £1 coins) which might be more convenient under certain circumstances.
