Chicken with its head cut off

Interested in finding out where that started.

It started on the farm. One way of killing a chicken was to lay its head on a chopping block and cut its head off with an ax. Sometimes it took a while for the headless body to realize it was dead. And it would run around.

That's one reason I am a vegetarian.
