: I have come across a couple of sentences that included "Too full for words" mostly in connection with the heart (Faulkner and others) as in
: "my heart is too full for words"
: also there are similar expressions as in
: too marvellous for words,
: too clever for words,
: too funny for words, etc
: can any one help with meaning and origin? thanks.
Too much for words.
The event has such an extreme effect on the writer that he cannot express his feelings in words.
