Toodle-loo - french origin hypothesis
Posted by Jacqui on May 25, 2004
My own un-expert opinion is that the origin of toodle-loo came from "tout a l'heure", french for see you later. When living in France I noticed how it was used in the same light manner as our english "toodle-loo". In fact, they pronounce it very similarly, "toodle-ur". But, again no dictionary supports my hypothesis.
