: Can anybody tell me the origin of the phrase "all the way round Will's mother's"? My father used it all the time, but I haven't found anybody else who's ever even heard it.#
Does this have the same origin as 'It's dark over Will's mother'? This was used in many counties as a warning that bad weather was approaching.
