: I am trying to figure out a phrase that I use to hear kids say years was something like :
: "I don't buy suckers..... I just lick em'?" I know that isn't the correct phrase, it's as close as I can recall. Can any one help me out here?
: Thanks

"Sucker" is a regional variant for lollipop (also spelled lollypop), a hard candy on a stick.
Of course, there are so many other definitions of sucker and lick that one could construct any number of other variations on the meaning of that sentence, including "I don't bribe gullible people, I just beat them into submission." Etc.
