A joke in poor favor.
1) In the recent 'sausage-gate' where the young lady dressed as an Italian sausage at a Milwaukee Brewers game was knocked over by a player, I thought I heard her refer to the incident as 'a joke in poor favor'. Has anyone ever heard this expression used? Is it regional?
Both Mrs. Stover and I have heard very similar expressions, although not recently, in which "favor" is used somewhat as most people would use "taste." But that's all I know about it, as I don't remember the details of what I heard. Is it regional? I can only say that I heard it in a very rural environment, and my wife in the big city.
