I can think of two - the first would be a regular trip to a mine to collect of deliver supplies - the other would be the other use of the word "mine" as in a placed explosive device. Planes and Minesweepers went on mine runs to clear aquatic mines.
Also - there are some lunatics who run across minefields (as a dare).
I think the beginning of Auf Wiedersehn Pet (series 3) has Oz and a mate doing a mine-run in the Falklands and teasing Barry.
