: I assume this had to have originated in some magic trick somewhere. Anyone got any ideas?
: Anyway, the saying occurred to me this morning when I read someone's offering that clearly indicated they'd had a bit of a run-in with an American - he he. But the mighty 'Phrase Finder' in the sky has removed it now. Appropriate really. This probably isn't a forum for people's gripes.
: Still, it was colourful and it was about 6am (Eastern Australian time) when I read it, so it was an amusing way to start the day. I well understand when something frustrates and angers me so much that I feel the need to lash out and let everyone know EXACTLY how I feel about it.
: So to whomever sent that note, I've met a few Americans who fit that description too, but on the other hand, I've also met a few Australians, Englishmen, Lithuanians, Italians, etc, etc, who also fit that description. So I hope all is better now.
: Bye from me
Actually, I think I got that wrong - I think the saying is "Now you see it, now you don't".
Lemme know
