: Does anyone
know what this phrase means? It comes from the song "Jesse James" by Cher. In
the context, it says:
: "You think you'll knock me off my feet 'til I'm flat
on the floor
: 'Til my heart is cryin' Indian and I'm beggin' for more"
:
I've always been wondering about that and hope, you can help me. Thank you!

For some reason - why, I can not say - this means to cry for mercy or to admit defeat. It's effectively the same thing as crying 'uncle'. I'd all but forgotten it until I read your post. Perhaps someone else can help with the exact meaning in the song. It seems a bit contradictory to me.
