Dosh

Another slant on the original meaning of the word Dosh, as used in slang for money, could be the original symbols for pre-decimalised english coins.... D for penny and S or SH for shilling..... so it would be tempting to think that dosh was D or Sh .... meaning cash of pennies and shillings.

Just a thought!
