: What is the meaning of the term "flip out" as in "I flipped out yesterday after reading the letter...hence the argument/issue that followed"..Is this a good reflection (learning from mistake) on arguments from yesterday?

: thanks

To flip out means to react (perhaps even overreact) to something very strongly, either in a positive or negative way. The example cites a negative reaction. The recipient disagreed strongly with the contents of the letter, "flipped out" (i.e. became angry) and got into an argument about it.
