: : : The UK national Sound Archive was founded in 1955. Its recording
list is one of the most comprehensive in the World, with music, animal sounds
and, for us interested in language, an extensive collection of dialects etc. The
link below takes you to a page I picked at random.
: : : The Home Page is www.cadensa.bl.uk.
You need to book a listening session.
: : I couldn't access the page. I got an error message. Maybe it's just me.
: No it isn't - I got the same error when I tried to call up the page directly. It seems that you can only access pages from the site itself. If you go to the link below, search on 'Dialect$' - note the '$' and go to item number 3, then you'll get the page I randomly picked. Sorry about this, but it seems to be a software 'thing', like another site I know!
