Jumpin' jehosephat

I can tell you that Jehoshaphat was a person in the Bible -- the fourth king of Judah (873-849 BC)and a good king at that. But after reading about him, I can't tell you why we have an expression "jumping Jehoshaphat." I'm guessing that someone just liked the "j" sounds together.
