Proverbs are celebrated as containing the wisdom of the ages – condensed into short meaningful phrases. That may be the case, but, when faced with two proverbs which contradict each other, which one do you choose to believe?
There’s no right answer. It all depends on context – in one situation a proverb may express a truth, in another it’s opposite may.
