I was going to say it's the slogan of the "Ladies Home Journal" magazine but it probably has an earlier origin. I did not find the quote attributed to Nellie McClung. But I can add that according to "Quotable Woman," Volume One 1800-1899, by Elaine Partnow (Pinnacle Books, Los Angeles, 1977) Nellie McClung (1873-1951) was a Can. (Canadian?) feminist and writer.
