: I'm trying to discover the origin of the phrase "All aboard for the Skylark". It was used in a children's TV show when I was little (25 years ago!) but my mother knows it from a radio programme from when she was little (50-55 years ago). Can anyone help?
Yes I can tell you it is from the book by Arthur ransome Swallows and Amazons, it was televised too.
