Into the bargain

Doing as a quick check on the comprehensiveness of this site I was surprised not to find "into the bargain." Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable defines it as "in addition to, besides what was bargained for." It's and oldie but goodie.

A fairly well-known idiom. Does Brewer's add any more than the definition? Meanings alone aren't really of interest here, apart from phrases with obscure meanings.
