Roady bacon
Posted by David Jaundrell on May 03, 2004
In the late 60's when I was growing up (in Burtonwood Lancashire - now Cheshire) my mum sometimes sent me to the corner shop. I was always reminded to ask for one pound of ''roady''? - ''rodey''? bacon.
I think it was either middle-cut or streaky.
Does anyone else recall this term or where it might have originated?
regards
Dave
