It's the quantity that startles one, and since the closest some of us city folk ever get to a horse might be at a race track, we could easily attribute the ferocity of the stream to the racing class of horse, not realizing that your average horse is just as productive. Probably. I'm one of those city folk... but I did see a cow once.
