I read this recently. "Having tamed the lightning, we are now teaching sand to think." Does anyone know anything about this quote? - Patty

I saw tons of web sites with the "taming lightning" part of your phrase as a reference to Benjamin Franklin who did some early experiments with electricity.

I am just reading a book about Ben: Benjamin Franklin: The First American. I will see if there's a reference to "taming lightning."
