If you have to ask, you can't afford it. Phrase- where does it come from?
It was said of Rolls-Royce cars - 'if you have to ask the price, you can't afford one'. I'm not sure if it was an RR slogan, or whether it was said by someone else. At the time this was coined, Rolls-Royce didn't advertise.
