: : I learned a little song as a child that began
: : Monday's child is fair of face
: : Tuesday's child is full of grace

: : I can't remember the rest.

: I can.
: Monday's child is fair of face,
: Tuesday's child is full of grace,
: Wednesday's child is full of woe,
: Thursday's child has far to go.
: Friday's child is loving and giving,
: Saturday's child works hard for a living,
: But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
: Is fair and wise and good and gay.

I HATED this poem as a child because I was born on a Wednesday, and thought that everyone except me got something good ("Works hard for a living" didn't sound like anything bad back then). But now I'm wondering what "far to go" means - "will travel" or "bit of a dud - needs improvement"? Pamela
