: I agree that "loop de loop" may have originally been "hokey pokey". Loop de loop may have been a loose translation of the french expression "loop des loop" possibly because hokey pokey may not have been easy to translate into French but that is just a guess.
: Question: Does anyone know what year the expression or song came out for "Loop de Loop"?
Johnny Thunder recorded the song which played here in the US in 1962 or 1963.
