A bit magnolia
What means "a bit magnolia"? As far as I see, it is connected with the plant or its flower, but what quality of it is the expression referred to?
I am not 100% on this but I think I heard it used to describe something that is very showy and somewhat extravagant.
"As far as I can see"? If you read this somewhere, then you know the context, for which we would all be grateful, as it makes a huge difference. It could refer to a scent--"a bit like magnolia." It could refer to a lady--nicely scented, and with a touch of the Old South. SS
