There is a phrase, meaning nothing at all. that one used to hear in Nova Scotia. Though less common now, it occasionally still heard, especially in rural areas..Can anyone help

"What Paddy Shot At" is the term for a useless hand in cribbage which scores zero. I have no idea as to the origin and why Paddy and not Sean or Henry!
