: : I know what the phrase means, I just do not know its origin. Someone said it was part of a novel where an employee told the store owner about some milky ways being eaten or stolen and when the store owner showed no interest, the employee said, "ain't my milky way".
: : Can someone cite the the phrase?
: The author is James Lee Burke. Regretfully I do not know in which of his books the thieving pet raccoon incident occurs.
There's a pet raccoon (Tripod...he only has three legs) in Mr. Burke's series about detective Dave Robicheaux.
