: : : Does anyone here know the meaning of "one stop shopping?"
: : : thanx
: : You can get everything you want at one store.
: At one time, you went to a baker for bread, a grocer for vegetables and a newsagent for a paper. Now all these, and many more products, are available from super/hyper markets. You can park at their edge-of-town sites and buy them all at one visit. Meanwhile, small shops and town centres - downtown areas - are dying.
And the hyper markets are in Chile too. I was in Valdivia recently and went into a one stop store whose name is 'Bigger'. It is bigger than any such store that I have found in the US.
