: : : : : How about this one:
: : : :In "America"
: : : Land where my father died
: : : Land where the children cried
: : : (Instead of land of the pilgrim's pride)
: : Up until about a year ago I always heard "..and the bathroom's on the right" instead of "There's a bad moon on the rise" by Creedence.
: My earliest was the classic "Return, Lucinda" for "Return to Sender", and to the rest of the world the opening words of "Lover's Concerto" in 1965 were "How gentle is the rain", but I heard them as "Out turtle in the rain", which didn't make much sense, but, OK.
Jimi Hendrix. Purple Haze. "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" heard as "Excuse me while I kiss this guy."
