: My boyfriend is southern and I am not. He said a saying and I can't find out what it means. "Put you on your head and kiss you goodnight" My parents have never heard of it. It has to be southern in origin. If you have any clue I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I have southern roots and don't know that as a particular phrase and no Google hits.
"put you on your head" means something like "turn you upside down" or "head first into the ground". Your boyfriend might think of himself as Kirsten Dunst and you as Spiderman in that famous movie kiss... or he could be thinking of something a little more sexual (think about it). I think you should ask him before you risk shocking anyone else.
