What does 'run that one by me again' mean?

Repeat what you just said. Tell me again.

And if you said, "Let me run that by Jim," it means let me see what Jim has to say when I tell him. It's often used when you or someone else is seeking the opinion of another in regard to a suggestion. "I thought that was a good idea, so I ran it by the boss." It means you are parading the idea (or "that one") in front of someone else, as you might parade a horse or other animal at, say, an auction or appraisal.
