: Hello,
: I would like to know if there is anyone who can help me with this phrase: "to get the heads out on". I will provide you with the context.
: Two scientists are examining a tortoise. One of the says: "It is a shy little thing, isn't it?"
: The other one replies:"Yeah, very hard to get the heads out on these species."
: Thanks in advance for your reply
Since they're talking about a tortoise, or turtle, I imagine the comment means that this kind of tortoise likes to keep his head inside the shell, and is not easily coaxed to stick his head out again.
