: : : : : : what does this mean..."if you aim at nothing, you will hit it"?
: : : : : If you don't strive or try for a goal, you'll achieve nothing.
: : : : A related saying that I've heard is "He aimed low and missed", meaning that he set himself a goal that was much too easy and failed to achieve even that low standard. Pamela
: : : Douglas Adams' said that anyone can fly. Just throw yourself at the ground and miss.
: : DELUSION -- There is no greater joy than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, except maybe the joy of watching a dreamer who has nowhere to land but in the ocean of reality.
: Mind you, there's nothing as funny as the real motivational posters - one that used to hang in an exworkplace of mine was "For every action there is a purpose". Pamela
I just went to see if I could find a copy of the above poster and found an even better one: "May the sunshine warm upon your face". It would be pretty cold sunshine that could get any warmth from my skin. Pamela
