: Origin of the phrase: smack me on the a** and call me judy

I you google "smack me on the a** and call" you get a number of hits, but the ending changes: Charlie, Poppy, Sally ... and the intriguing Tuesday. Didn't find a Judy. Then I eliminated "smack" and got some more, based on "slap my ass..." or "spank" ... including Clarence, Daddy and Cowboy. I remember (dimly) when we were kids, someone would say something like "well, cut off my legs and call me Shorty," which had some sort of internal logic. It's all just verbal patter, with no meaningful content.
