: : what does it meaning in turkish?"a person is known by the company keeps"

: I dont know Turkish but the phrase means that the styles and behaviors of the people you choose to associate yourself with can influence you and the perception that people around you have of you.

: Sort of an offshoot of "Birds of a feather flock together".

The traditional version is "A man is known by the company he keeps." What you typed (both times) leaves out "he." Does the saying make more sense now? A person is judged by who his or her friends are.
