: What does the following statement mean?
: LET'S GET A BIGGER TURKEY NEXT YEAR.
: Could I use it at a birthday party?

It might be said at a US Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, as a turkey is the traditional main course on those yearly occasions. Both are usually large family gatherings and it's possible to misjudge the size of turkey to buy as one rarely cooks for that many people. Also, it is considered desirable by many to have left-over turkey afterwards so it may be that the turkey was big enough for the meal but there wasn't enough left over. RRC
