: Flit is the name for an insecticide and "Get the flit" was one of its slogans.

I think perhaps we should do a conflation of the two slogans offered. It actually appeared in more than one form, so both are probably right. But the one I remember is, "Quick, Henry, get the Flit!" Those were the days. SS
