: When they first hauled manure on the cargo ships they used to haul it in 100 pound bags and they stored it in the hull of the ship...that is until the methane gas built up and caused an explosion. Ever since that incident they stamped the bags S.H.I.T. which stood for S.hip H.igh I.n T.ransport.
