: : : : : Anyone living in a house where the Disney Channel ceaselessly drones already gets the gest gist of the tween cabler's new animated "Brandy & Mr. Whiskers'...--Chicago Tribune

: : : : What does it mean? Looking the terms up separately in dictionary.com:

: : : : gest or geste n. A notable adventure or exploit. A verse romance or tale. A prose romance.

: : : : gist n.
: : : : The central idea; the essence.

: : : Thank you kindly, Singlecolon. Then can paraphrase this as "comprehends the central concept of the chronicle captured by the allow cohort of cable"

: : : But what does it all mean--DH

: : I asked you first.

: The original poster left a quote from a publication. That's all. Was it a question? A citation to answer some other post? If if was a question, we're left to wonder what. The meaning of gest gist? The meaning of tween? The sociological importance of the Disney Channel? The nature of the program? Who is Mr. Whiskers? And then, regardless of what the origianl question(s) may have been, now we're asked to explain the meaning of "chronicle captured by the allow cohort of cable" which may have been translated from the original Gibberish. What a burden.

And I don't know the answers to any of those questions either.
